About Us

Char's Center of Auxiliary and Dance was established professionally in 2016 being the only coach certified through US Baton Association in the Tampa area but Ms. Char's love for auxiliary started a long time ago.

Ms. Char attended Riverdale High School in Riverdale, Georgia when she first found her love of auxiliary and batons. She participated in the marching band as a percussionist first but by her the end of her sophomore year she wanted to be a part of the auxiliary dance team. She knew how to twirl her drum sticks, but baton, that was all new to her. Even with the naysayers and the doubters she was triumphed in dance try-outs and made the Raiderette auxiliary team. By senior year, she was not only the captain of the majorette squad but she was also named Ms. Raiderette and received a leadership aware for her character and skills displayed on and off the band field.

She continued this trek and went on to study at Bethune- Cookman University while participating in the Marching Band as well. They did not have a majorette squad so she learned flag corp on the collegiate level and excelled in her studies and with the band. She also participated in Orchesis Dance Ensemble as a dancer and choreographer, coached liturgical dance squad at many of the community churches in the area and volunteered as an auxiliary coach for Mount Zion High School for a season before joining the military.

She was a willing partipant to drill competions, and earned airmen leadership awards throughout her service to our country. She now wants to continue that service through her center to mentor young girls and build their confidence through auxiliary and dance. We look forward to continuing her core values of excellence and strengthening your young dancer in performance.

Remember, Practice Paves Precision and to TWIRL like everyone is watching!!
